Soundslot vs Skedda
Skedda books shared spaces: desks, meeting rooms, courts, coworking. It is good at it. A rehearsal room is a space too, so Skedda will hold your calendar — the question is what happens to the parts of a studio that are not calendar.

Space scheduling versus selling studio time
Skedda's centre of gravity is access to a space: who may book what, when, under which rules, usually inside an organisation that already knows its users. Payment is supported but the product's shape is allocation rather than retail.
A rehearsal studio is retail. Strangers arrive from a search result, pay before they turn up, cancel at short notice, hire an amp on the way in and come back every Tuesday for two years. The deposit, the cancellation ladder, the backline and the weekly series are the business, not the admin around it.
Side by side
| Feature | Skedda | Soundslot |
|---|---|---|
| Typical user | A workplace or venue allocating shared space. | A studio selling hours to the public. |
| Booking rules | Rich policies over who can book what and when. | Rates, minimums, buffers, lead time, approval, and a payment policy per room. |
| Cancellations | Policy-driven, without money as the centre of it. | An ordered ladder of hours and percentages against what was collected. |
| Add-on revenue | Not the product's job. | Stocked gear hire, add-ons, hour packs and gift cards. |
| Public storefront | A booking page for your space. | A themed site on your own domain, indexed as yours. |
When Skedda is the better answer
If most of your bookings come from a known group under a membership or a tenancy, and money is settled monthly rather than at the point of booking, a space-scheduling product fits that shape better than a retail one.
Skedda also covers space types we do not model at all — hot desks and per-person seating in an open room are not what a room-by-the-hour product is drawn around.
This page quotes no price for the other product. Theirs change, and a figure typed here would be out of date within a month. Read it on their own site, then read ours.
Your studio. Your next chapter.
If your rooms are sold to the public by the hour, look at the deposits and cancellation page next — that is the part a space scheduler leaves to you.
